Burberry Spring/Summer 2009 Ad Campaign

A preview of Burberry spring/summer 2009 ads drives us in a romantic, tranquil mood intended by Creative Director Christopher Bailey for this season's campaign about which he stated "it is about a quiet, beautiful sense of luxury". A bunch of stylish gals and lads, dressed in their "rain-soaked" Burberry trenches, flare denim jeans and patchwork crusher hats, are sipping English tea in a beautiful greenery setting.

Christopher Bailey (who owns garden in Yorkshire) named the collection Garden Girls and said the inspiration came from a Thames & Hudson book on eccentric outdoorsy Brits called "Garden People". This campaign "highlights the spirit of our wonderfully crumpled classics" adds Bailey. 

The pictures, shot by Mario Testino at the Petersham Nurseries, (a posh garden center outside London) feature models Lily Donaldson, Eden Clark, Alexina Graham and Richard Wyndham alongside photographer Emily Hope, actor Alex Pettyfer and musicians George Craig and Sam Beeton.
