For March 2011 fashion editorial A Precious Glam, published in Vogue Italy Estonian top model Carmen Kaas plays a sly, elegant woman from high society, a strong-minded heiress looking a lot like Katharine Hepburn in Hollywood Golden Era screwball comedies (The Philadelphia Story, 1940, Holiday, 1938). Captured on film by British fashion photographer Miles Aldridge (Lavazza 2010 calendar) Carmen responds to his colorful cinematic vision and covered in luxurious jewels and haute couture designs from Givenchy, Valentino and Chanel she plays her part well.
Son of a renowned London art director and husband to supermodel Kristen McMenamy it was just a matter of time that Miles Aldridge would embrace a fashion photography career. His candy colored "plastified" fashion images have appeared in Vogue Italia, US Vogue, Numéro, and The New York Times and are exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the International Center of Photography in New York. In 2009 was released Pictures for Photographs, a monograph of Aldridge’s photographic and illustration work published by Karl Lagerfeld’s Edition 7L imprint at Steidl.
