Nordstrom's surrealistic ad campaign

Fashion meets art: renowned Cuban artist Ruben Toledo and fashion photographer Ruven Afanador captured the high-fashion spirit in the Nordstrom ad campaign for summer 2008. Toledo painted the walls to create a series of fascinating black-and-white sets and continued with his illustrations on the models' faces and bodies while Afanador captured these inspiring images. The ad campaign set off in March issues of Elle, Vanity Fair, and Vogue.

The Vanity Fair ads featured model Jenny Sweeny and designs by Oscar de la Renta, Versace, Giambattista Valli, Roberto Cavalli, shoes by Christian Louboutin and Dior, and a VBH handbag.
