The end of year 2009 has a very stylish feel from the viewpoint of Gestuz, Danish brand established in 2007 by Sanne Sehested Nielsen and Lene Boesen who succeeded in offering “popular, high profiled but reasonably priced clothes with the best in quality”.
The design team, Tilde Bjerregaard, Vibeke Ludvigsen with graphic artist Signe Elisabeth Vedel, three newcomers to the fashion design industry, created a new femininity “which extends from the poetic Patti Smith to the glamorous Marilyn Monroe”. The result is a sculptural silhouette in which the rock chic meets the sophisticated minimalist and the raw mixes with the delicate.
Gestuz designs for a charming, “wild” fashionista who cultivates her personal style, a balance between glamorous and laid-back, always feminine and stunning.
Year end 2009 is a party wear collection gathering stylish little pieces in black or grey leather, lace, silk and velvet as well as distressed denim or sequined blazers worn with new-age biker/western boots or sky-high lace-up platforms.
My most wanted Gestuz designs? The pair of leather shorts and the black lace mini dress. What’s yours?
