Through a photographer's lens

Three most glamorous fashion decades, the 40s, 50s and the 60s have been kept alive thanks to these gifted fashion photographers: Norman Parkinson, John Rawlings and Terence Donovan. It is true that fashion sells fantasy but, at the same time, it reflects the changes in our society and lifestyle. High class defying time fashion photography creates an essential frame of reference for vintage fashion lovers and not only.

British photographer, Norman Parkinson (1913-1990) worked for British Vogue from 1942 to 1978 and also for American Vogue. His career is remembered for his fascinating images of fashion and high society, as well as his portrays of the world's most renowned figures.

American Vogue photographer, John Rawlings (1912-1970) pictured more than clothes. His approach on fashion photography has created genuine works of art; each image has the quality of telling a story.

Terence Donovan (1936-1996), was a renowned British photographer and film director, best remembered for his fashion photography of the 1960s which he faithfully captured. He shot for various fashion magazines, including Harper's Bazaar and Vogue.
