Silent Evolution by Chen Ariel Nachman

Taking inspiration from the Underwater Sculpture Garden in Cancun, Mexico created by artist Jason Decries Taylor, 27-year old Fashion graduate Chen Ariel Nachman designed a marvelous five-piece collection for his final project. Named Silent Evolution, the collection won him the Excellence Award for creativity and originality in fashion design at Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, an award in memory of Fini Leitersdorf.

Using traditional handcrafting techniques and rich embroidery these exquisite ethereal designs incorporate natural materials such as soft silk, coral beads, sea sponges and fish leather. The graduate collection by Chen Ariel Nachman is evocative of the way the underwater sculptures change from inanimate objects into living ecosystems.
