Photography team Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott give a surreal edge to Giorgio Armani's well known classic elegance, for the label's spring/summer 2009 ad campaign. The creative duo kept the black-and-white photography and added some glow and blur effects that bring a stylish, hallucinatory vibe. Is it a hidden message that this is a dreamy collection?
The ads feature one of my favorite top-models, Sasha Pivovarova, posing
fiercely and almost alienesque alongside Irish hunk Jamie Dornan. Well
alongside is miss-used here but only because I would have loved them to
pose as a fierce Armani couple.
The photos capture some of the best
pieces from Giorgio Armani spring 2009 collection including footwear,
eyewear and handbags among which the much desired (by me, of course)
Montenapoleone bag.
