Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2008 Ad Campaign

The spring/summer 2008 Roberto Cavalli collection was a surprisingly turn aside from the flashy looks that embodied Cavalli label up till last few seasons. The loud animal prints have been replaced by delicate florals, clingy fabrics by romantic laced batiste, sheer chiffon and silk. However, fringes and feathers are still there to emphasize this new romantic, feminine look but not at all innocent and the evening dresses are as superb as ever.

Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2008 Ad Campaign

Actress Kirsten Dunst is the new Miu Miu girl. The label's spring 2008 ad campaign makes good use of her unique mix of angelic charm and "devilish" playfulness. With her devilish cute face, frail figure and insinuating stare, Kirsten Dunst seems to be the perfect choice for Miu Miu spring/summer 2008 ad campaign. Prada's little sister's spring 2008 collection has a subtle perverse feeling, inspired being by French maids, ballerinas and Commedia dell'arte characters.

Lanvin Spring Summer 2008 Ad Campaign

It's a fairies world at Lanvin. The spring/summer 2008 ad campaign features model Olga Sherer as the queen of elves. Alber Elbaz's spring 2008 collection was reviewed as the best collection he yet designed for Lanvin. Besides some androgynous looks inspired by men's tux, the dress was the star of the show: long, flowing gowns or short ruffled, feathered and embellished frocks, the colorful designs led the audience into a fantasy world.

Pirelli Calendar 2008

"Pearls of the Orient" is the title given to the 35th edition of Pirelli Calendar, shot for the first time in China (and entirely in Shanghai) features eight Western fashion top models and three Chinese beauty among which actress Maggie Cheung. Also for the first time ever, the calendar gets a more innocent, graceful look, a disappointment maybe to those who expected the usual images of the past Pirellis and a joy for art photography's fans.

Lavazza 2008 Calendar

Even if this is not really related to fashion the art direction is haute-couture-worthy. The sixteen edition of Lavazza calendar is suggestively named "The Most Majestic Espresso Experience". Photos by Finaly MacKay. On the cover: model Cover: Sofie Nielander. Seductive looks and sumptuous sets, the queens of the calendars invite you to the royal court for a majestic experience. Every self-respecting queen has her king and the king of the calendar is, obviously, Lavazza espresso: the coffee that reigns supreme in every image.
