Phoenix Art Museum - Digital Print Fashion
Phoenix Art Museum - Digital Print Fashion

If you are fascinated like me by innovative fashion you might want to check out this recently opened show at Phoenix Art Museum called Digital Print Fashion. Opened on March 2nd it runs until July 14, the exhibition explores the fascinating creative ideas in digital printing, showcasing 40 revolutionary creations signed by contemporary designers including Mary Katrantzou, late Alexander McQueen, and Issey Miyake among others.

Digital Print Fashion shows how the latest technological advances in print design changed contemporary fashion - thus sophisticated digital prints becoming integrating part of avantgarde fashion brands - but also opening new creative opportunities for every designer that sees the fabric as a canvas.

Another ongoing design exhibition is Fashion and Technology displayed at FIT Museum, New York. It runs until May 8, 2013 and shows the evolving relationship between emerging technologies and fashion design and production throughout history. It begins with designs of the Industrial Revolution Era and continues to the modern times witnessing the rise of the digital technologies.
