Footwear design studio SIX, London celebrated last month (November 2011) ten years of existence with a limited edition shoe collection in collaboration with six top international fashion bloggers. The company’s creative team chose their favorite fashion bloggers and asked them to imagine their ideal pair of shoes. The result is SIXby6bloggers collection, a covetable modern looking ensemble and very distinct, just like their creators. I love how each pair reflects the personality of each blog(ger).

Back to Sixby6bloggers capsule collection my eyes were easily drawn to the golden-studded fire red leather boots (made for walkin') designed by Swedish stylist Caroline Blomst of Caroline’s Mode as well as Leandra Medine’s (New York based The Man Repeller) navy and burgundy suede ankle bootie with a fierce golden spikes row on the back. Wow these are great looking shoes especially for the party season going on right now!
The other designs in Sixby6bloggers collection are the space-age lace-up platform boot in fluoro yellow, pony hair and coral leather from the cool girl Susie Lau of Style Bubble (the brainiac of the lot) and the bohemian take on the creeper shoe with a rich leaf print and simple, clear shape from Mr. Steve Salter of Style Salvage. And so I’ve discovered his well-written, comprehensive journal on masculine style.

Leaving the London-based fashion essayists aside the Sixby6bloggers anniversary shoe collection also includes glamorous crystal-adorned midnight-blue satin pump shoes designed by French girl Alix Bancourt of The Cherry Blossom Girl and a very slick pair of desert boots in navy leather with a red detail and white sole envisioned by Mr. Yvan Rodic, the Facehunter himself. These boots will be of definite help in his globe-trotting cool-style-seeking voyage.
