Sarah Burton’s glam-tribal-punk spring 2014 collection for Alexander Mcqueen just arrived in the label’s online store. The British designer envisioned a warrior princess look with tribal geometric patterns, feathers and fringe adorned clothes and accessories, the signature punk-inspired skull prints on scarves, metallic appliqué (skulls, studs, spikes) on shoes, handbags and belts. The futuristic feeling of this collection comes from fabulous artifices like Plexiglas accessories, steam-punk inspired jewelry and all sorts of leather braces as seen in the spring 2014 fashion show. That doesn’t mean that it lacks the feminine approach; the online offer has some very chic knit dresses, a marvelous red crepe halter neck dress and a beautiful suit jacket both with box-pleat peplum waist.
