When art meets fashion wonderful designs emerge. For spring 2013 season fashion creatives came up with painterly motifs by themselves or teamed up with visual artists to create stunning prints that make clothes look like wearable paintings. If you want to spend on fashion this spring than you should definitely invest in an artistically printed clothing piece.
The floral mix print on the 1950s-style dress signed by Italian designer Antonio Marras was inspired by the works of outsider artist Henry Darger while Preen’s pre-spring “bleeding” paint flowers put a futuristic spin on the floral print style.
Todd Lynn collaborated with artist Marcus James to create "apocalyptic" printed silks inspired by Heart of Darkness short novel. Mother of Pearl's printed vibrant roses signed by artist Gary Hume look glorious on a boxy peplum top. Pleated, peplum or body-conscious silhouettes are already winning trends for this season.
