Moschino SS08 collection's surreal aura mixed with a vague ode to Chanel and with glam-sporty looks (taffeta anoraks and brocade overalls) is best described by photographer Patrick Demarchelier in these pictures taken for the label's spring 2008 Ad Campaign.
The photos use a stark, semi-lighted white background, which to me seems so refreshingly minimalist in the season of colors and busy prints. My favorites are the white-and-black pictures where model Alana Zimmer portrays an eccentric diva that has no problem in enjoying a drink at the downtown bar. That black hat sitting on top of the crazy hairdo (spotted on the runway at Moschino) says it all.
