The illustrated satire of Pawel Kuczynski

Pawel Kuczynski, Apple
Pawel Kuczynski, Apple

When I first saw Pawel Kuczynski’s illustrations I feared I had too little words to describe them. In brief, I must say that his works are absolutely incredible. And I’m not talking only about their fine, sharp lines, their vibrant characters and colors, but about the stories beneath them. Pawel is famous for his satirical style and his various themes.

Pawel Kuczynski, ApplePawel Kuczynski, AppleSocial and political heavy themes, legendary stories or domestic simple scenes are all enriched with illustrator’s ironic point of view. Kuczynski doesn’t exaggerate by all means. Using a delicate way to express his feelings about social, political and cultural reality, he really convinces you to abandon indifference and to pay more attention at the world you live in.

Pawel Kuczynski, BreakfastPawel Kuczynski, Breakfast

Pawel Kuczynski was born in 1976 in Szczecin, Poland. He graduated Fine Arts Academy in Poznan with specialization in graphics and, through the years he received a considerable number of prizes and distinction including "Eryk" prize from Association of Polish Cartoonists. I'm so glad I found this incredible artist.

Style on a budget: Balenciaga Fall 2007 Look

Balenciaga Fall
The fashion world is crazy about this season's Balenciaga collection. Everyone wants or speaks about those schoolboy blazers, fringe ethnic scarves and "patchwork" dresses. I must admit that I'm not a Nicolas Ghesquière fan but I love the multicultural...

Eco-preppy-chic

Eco-preppy-chic
What to wear when you have a busy outdoor day? Shorts and a floaty blouse, of course. I love mixing feminine details with boy-meets-girl factor like this lace-smock top and white frame sunglasses with plaid shorts, trilby hat and converse-like shoes. Style...

Pre-fall collections predict a neat season

Akris pre-fall

Fall 2008 fashion shows have already begun and in this crazy and wonderful spin from rtw to resort to couture and again to ready-to-wear I took a peak at the pre-fall shows that ended just two weeks ago. If these pre-shows are meant to predict next season'...

Effortlessly Chic

Effortlessly Chic
Instant chic without any effort: throw a dress on you (a floral frock is perfect for summer), put on some cute flats, add a wide brim hat and a large clutch bag and off you go. I was inspired by the lady-like styles of the late-fifties early-sixties time but...

Hot Town, Summer In The City...

Hot Town
It's definitely a hot summer here, where I'm living...I cannot describe it. Or, yes I can: for a stroll around town the most appropriate outfit is a breezy teeny white dress, cute flats, a light straw shoulder bag and a straw hat. Add cool looking sunglasses...

Roisin Murphy's erratic style

Roisin Murphy's style

Europe's disco diva Roisin Murphy might not be a huge pop star (in fact I love she is not in the mainstream) but she is an untiringly muse for couturiers and an undoubtedly style icon.

Her fashion sense matches the eclectic music she's known for, a...
