On April 15, Gap marked the second consecutive year of Gap Design Editions, a limited edition collection specially designed for Gap by the winners of the annual CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition.
American designers (3.1) Phillip Lim, Scott Sternberg from Band of Outsiders, Michael Bastian, and ThreeAsFour's Gabi Asfour, Adi Gil & Angela Donhauser designed a limited edition collection inspired by the classic Gap white shirt.
Each label brings its own unique interpretations of the classic white shirt - a wardrobe basic and Gap's iconic heritage. ThreeAsFour transformed it into a cut-out dress made of high quality woven cotton.
Phillip Lim's shirts "refine instead of define". The designer brings feminine, fun details such as bows, picot trim and bell-sleeves.
The boyish looks from Band of Outsiders (left) and menswear designer Michael Bastian (right) include details like back yokes, button-flap patch pockets, patchwork and western styling, In addition, this year's Gap Design Editions include Philip Crangi's cutting-edge jewelry that complement the white shirts.
