Calibre 1887 Chronograph by TAG Heuer

TAG Heuer's legendary motor racing-inspired collection, the Carrera, has been expanded with the new Calibre 1887 Chronograph. Both high-performing and elegant, this automatic chronograph is extremely easy to read thanks to its refined design and the very slender bezel providing optimal dial visibility. The small seconds runs freely at 9 o’clock, devoid of all constraints. Available in very classic combinations – silvered or black dial with alligator strap or steel bracelet.

TAG Heuer's Calibre 1887 Chronograph

The Calibre 1887 is a highly advanced column wheel/oscillating pinion integrated chronograph movement platform. It is developed from intellectual property elements acquired from Seiko Instruments Inc (SII), which designed and patented it as TC78 in 1997/99, making it one of the newest constructions in the high-end chronographs world (most existing chronographs date back from the 70s or early 80s).

Having acquired the intellectual property rights from SII, TAG Heuer has devoted the last 3 years re-engineering and redeveloping key components like the assortment bridge and the main plate, and adding major technical features such as an eccentric adjustment screw to the oscillating pinion (patented first by Edouard Heuer in 1887). Movement Automatic chronograph, TAG Heuer 1887 calibre with oscillating pinion and column wheel Functions Hours, minutes, small seconds, date, chronograph and tachometer

Case Polished steel, 41 mm Tachometer scale on polished and satin-finished bezel Polished steel crown and pushpieces Convex sapphire crystal, anti-reflective coating on both sides Scratch-resistant sapphire back
