A sunny dream: Club Monaco spring 2012

A romantic daydream is the mood Club Monaco sets off for the spring/summer 2012 season. Under the artistic lens of Belgian photographer Serge LeBlon (whose work I ashamedly admit I just discovered) the versatile and always fascinating Sasha Pivovarova plays a nostalgic muse, making us dive into a sea of introspection. Soft lights and shadows, the use of contre-jour (backlighting) or sepia tones and peaceful landscapes give the impression of a sweet reverie. Retro styled designs in pale shades, lace, pleats, full skirts and a pea coat borrowed from the boyfriend, all enhance the tender feeling.

Club Monaco is a high-end, mid-priced, casual fashion retailer owned by Polo Ralph Lauren that designs, manufactures and sells its own label of clothing, accessories and home collection.

Photographer Serge LeBlon, represented by Management Artists Agency is the author of many editorials and fashion campaigns full of charm and lyrism for labels such as Sonia Rykiel, Kenzo, Tsumori Chisato, Kate Spade and titles like Dazed&Confused, Harper’s Bazaar UK and Vogue China. He also signs music album images for some of my favorite musicians: Lily Allen, Goldfrapp and Jarvis.
