Mercedes-AMG and adidas have announced a collaboration that feels less like a marketing stunt and more like a manifesto: performance has no finish line. By blending radical automotive engineering with state-of-the-art sportswear innovation, the partnership is not just about speed but about redefining what speed means — whether on four wheels or two legs.
Breaking Records on the Track and the Tarmac
At Italy’s legendary Nardò circuit, the CONCEPT AMG GT XX didn’t just turn heads — it shattered them. Over seven days, this all-electric prototype racked up 40,075 kilometers, the equivalent of circling the Earth, setting 25 new records for battery-electric vehicles. For Mercedes-AMG, the feat was more than endurance testing; it was a declaration that electric performance is no longer an experiment but a standard to chase.
Just hours later, adidas proved that human performance can keep pace with machine innovation. South African runner Sibusiso Kubheka became the first athlete to complete a 100 km run in under six hours (5:59:20). Equipped with precision-engineered adidas gear, including the Adizero Evo Prime X, Kubheka and his peers showed that cutting-edge apparel can shave seconds, minutes, even barriers off the human clock.
