Kenji Hirata (originary from Nagasaki, Japan now living in Brooklyn, New York) is a versatile artist, whose complex graphic work varies from murals to animated film to book illustration.
For his artworks, inspired by nature, sci-fi futurism and South Asia billboards, he uses different mediums that go from acrylic on canvas to correction pen, oil markers, gesso, corian and latex on light boxes and walls.
The artist creates for an open mind addressing the inner child of every viewer. He developed a graphic language of geometric icons and symbols that transports the viewer into a whole new personal universe.
