Hussein Chalayan's first advertising campaign for his Fall-Winter 2009/2010 Earthbound collection looks like a design sketchbook or an artistically edited portfolio. The ads staring belgian Ann Catherine Lacroix, dutch model Iekeliene Stange, russian Serafima Vakulenko and belarusian beauty Tanya Dziahileva were snapshots taken backstage at the Fall/Winter 09/10 runway show by photographer Amy Troost. The conceptual designer chooses a minimal promotion of his collection, sans artifice, focusing on clothes and their inspiration source, but does this do them justice?
