Milan and Sicily, black-white and colours, modernity and tradition: opposites meet in the Dolce & Gabbana Spring Summer 2020 advertising campaign for men and women.
The main source of inspiration for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana is presented next to the city where it all began. Seen through the monochromatic lens, the history and traditions of Sicily contrast with the brilliance and colours of the images made in Milan. Through the camera of the photographers, the images of the campaign reflect the differences and, at the same time, the common aspects of the two places.
Filmed in black and white by Salvo Alibrio, the Dolce & Gabbana Spring / Summer 2020 campaign set in Palazzolo Acreide, Sicily, recalls the island's atmosphere, symbols and traditions. Enhanced by the depth of his paintings and the saturation of the two tones, Dolce & Gabbana's DNA emerges from the images with all the history and values āāthey recall.
