For Duy Huynh (pronounced Yee Wun) drawing was his way of settling in a strange world as a youngster immigrant. Years passed and the Vietnamese-born artist kept his childhood passion as a means of living after graduating from UNC Charlotte, North Carolina with a degree in painting and illustration.

One’s loneliness, displacement, confusion or remorse as well as views on lovers’ troubles or perpetual journeys are depicted in a serene, dream-like manner, mixed with bits of wild nature. As inspiring sources the artist uses his personal thoughts and feelings as well as various roots: from music and movies to ancient folklore and comic books.
