Choon Fai Yip, a talented artist from Singapore, scooped the "Iconique Societás Award 2008" for the 'Illustration' category with the Awakening of the puppresses set of drawings. Avant-garde online fashion magazine Iconique and progressive creative agency Societás intend on bringing into the international spotlight the best fashion photographers and illustrators by initiating the ‘Iconique Societás Excellence in Fashion Photography and Illustration Awards'.
The applicants sent original works that were various interpretations of the theme 'Elevated'. Choon Fai Yip impressed the jury with firm lines, exquisite minimalism (a brilliant use of black and white, lights and shadows), and mysterious, dark, seductive mood.
